News from the Nest
Next week students will continue reading a variety of texts and learning more reading strategies as we explore forces, motion and magnetism.
**With the end of the year quickly approaching, please encourage your child to continue reading at home in order to meet their 4th quarter AR goal.
Next week students will focus on the craft of their poetry writing. They will work to create a mood that evokes a feeling or image for their reader. They will include white space and line breaks to help their reader. They will also work to bring their poem to life using sensory details and precise word choice.
On Monday students will reflect on their graded test. They will set goals for the week based on the results. The rest of the week will be spent reteaching, practicing or deepening skills of finding the area and perimeter of complex shapes.
