PE & Health Weekly Update
Week of 5/4-5/8
Each week, students are encouraged to complete at least 5 sections of the wellness board and log a reflection of their choices in GoogleClassroom. Please encourage and participate with your student in an active healthy lifestyle during this time away from Hixson!
This week's 7th and 8th grade Physical Education and Health goals include learning through the following options;
WGSD Health Standard 2. Analyzing Influences - strategy.
WGSD PE Goal 3. Sports Skills - volleyball drills.
WGSD Health Standard 3. Accessing Information - reading food labels.
WGSD PE Goal 4. Fundamental Movement - hip hop moves & African dance.
WGSD Health Standard 4. Interpersonal Communication - share a positive message, spread some cheer.
WGSD PE Goal 5. Fitness and Wellness - family walk, read a book, PLYOGA, go for a bike ride, 10-10-10-10 work out, agility drills at home, Bit Breaker app.
WGSD Health Standard 5. Decision Making - plan and make a healthy meal.
WGSD Health Standard 7. Self Management - Health Selfie, how to make a face mask, learn to whistle, healthy homemade popsicles.
