6th Grade Camp Adventure
Submitted by Miss Alicia Tagye
On Monday, September 17th, sixth-grade had their first day at Camp Adventure! Students were put into teams and worked together to accomplish team-building activities on low rope courses. The team leaders at Camp Adventure have students agree to a full value contract. Students agree to: be safe, do valuing behaviors and support the group, give and receive honest feedback, and ‘let go’ of any negative feelings or issues and move on. Even though it rained on Monday, our sixth graders had an amazing time! We are very excited for our second day of Camp Adventure Monday, September 24th!
Emergency Early Dismissal Plan Forms
Yesterday, your child(ren) came home with an Emergency Dismissal form for you. We ask that you create a plan for your student(s) in the event that we suddenly have an early dismissal. Please share the plan with your child(ren), then complete the form saving the last, pink copy for yourself and returning the other two copies to school. Doing so will help you to plan and communicate where your students will go in the event that we dismiss early. It also alleviates the need for parents/guardians to call the office and teachers during a time when it is difficult to handle so many communications in a short time.
Please have your student(s) return the form to their homeroom teacher(s) by Monday, September 24. Thank you for your cooperation.
