Adventures at AMCOM (A@A) Enrichment Program Application
We are happy to announce AMCOM will be conducting the Adventures at AMCOM program again this year from July 11th-15th. The Adventures at AMCOM (A@A) Enrichment Program is an AMCOM Educational Outreach Program designed to provide students with invaluable experience and exposure on how the Army technology, acquisition, and sustainment activities function. Students will work with AMCOM leaders (mentors/coaches) to understand daily work tasks in support of National Defense. Additionally, students will participate in small group exercises that stress problem solving, process analysis, critical thinking and practical applications in business, logistics, engineering, and calibration. This program expands beyond the field of engineering. Careers highlighted also include logistics, foreign military sales, management, business, information technology (IT), and contracting, in addition to various engineering and technology fields.
During this enrichment experience, students will be involved in activities and projects designed specifically to: (1) aid in the development of critical thinking; (2) sharpen presentation skills; (3) broaden interests in various career fields (the business, logistics, mathematics and technical areas); and (4) enhance team building skills. All of these elements will be accomplished through projects that will be engaging and relevant to today's workforce.
The students will tour various sites on Redstone Arsenal. Each activity is designed to be a rewarding opportunity to further enhance the student's educational experience, while providing early exposure to career opportunities as a civilian at AMCOM or a Soldier in the United States Army. Application are due April 29th.
