Just What is a Learning Commons?
A Learning Commons is a library or a Media Center that has transitioned into a library for twenty-first century learners. Learning Commons are patron driven with open, flexible spaces for student collaborative zones. Students and teachers have available to them resources, print and nonprint, to foster twenty-first century learning . Having a team of specialists and coaches available to help students and teachers makes the Learning Commons the hub of the school and the focal point of learning.
