Our Mission and Vision
La Joya ISD ACE Program’s vision is to provide a safe, meaningful and recreational after school environment where students will achieve educational excellence.
Vision
The La Joya ISD ACE Program believes that all ACE students should have the opportunity to develop academic, social, and career readiness skills that will prepare them for the 21st century. By integrating the use of technology through a variety of innovative academic and enrichment activities, students will reach and excel at their full potential and become productive leaders of our community
Needs and Goals
Campus Needs:
To improve, maintain and support student performance at or beyond grade level in the areas of Language Arts, Math, Science, Physical Education, and Library Media Services.
Provide Technology resources that promote student learning.
Help improve, sustain and/ or increase attendance and promote positive behavior standards.
Increase Parental Involvement

The ACE program will implement and coordinate clubs to help close the achievement gap to help improve,
demonstrate and sustain in Language Arts,
Mathematics,
Science,
Health/P.E. and
Library Media.

reach their academic potential.
To provide technology application skills to promote 21st century learning via Enrichment, Academic, and Tutoring Help.
Promote Fine Arts, Athletics, and Career & Technical Education to support instructional programs.
Promote and cultivate a college and career readiness culture.
Offer different clubs such as sports, music, arts & painting, cheer& dance, etc. to help with attendance and behavioral issues.
Offer parents the opportunity to participate in events, activities, and classes that may help promote good health, healthy food choices, stronger student and parent communication.
ACE READERS CLUB
Students are engaged in day to day reading to increase their reading and fluency levels, as well as get the opportunities to share class discussions and share their readings.
ACE PICASSO STARZ
Students in this activity get Hands on Activities in the Field of Arts. Students research famous painters, learn Art Basics, and participate in Art Presentations where they are able to showcase their Art Work.
TECHNOLOGY MATH MANIA
Students in this activity get the opportunity to incorporate Mathematics via technology. With the use of Chromebooks students get hands on activities where they learn addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
Cultural Studies Club
Students in this club get the opportunity to learn about various cultures and expose their knowledge via the use of projects, presentations, and class discussions.
Family and Community Engagement
Parents are invited to be involved in Family and Community Engagement activities where they will learn of services available in the community.
Participate in monthly events, group activities, and presentations.
ACE Science Stars
Students in this activity are engaged in Science Activities where they participate through experiments, class discussions, presentations, and Hands on Activities.
