NEWS FLASH
Florence Twp. School District -- 2021-22 -- 12/10/2021
Health Update:
We are all continuing to feel the heaviness of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but we ask that you please keep doing your part to stay safe & healthy!
VACCINATION STATUS:
In order to keep our records up to date and better assist us with contact tracing, we are requesting all parents to provide their school nurse with their child's current COVID-19 vaccination verification once they receive their completed dose(s) of the vaccine. Your child is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the 2nd dose of Phizer or Moderna or two weeks after a single dose of Johnson & Johnson. Presently, according to the NJ Dept. of Health, fully vaccinated children are not required to quarantine. Any questions you have should be directed to your child(rens) school nurse.
MASK UP:
We are asking all parents to please discuss masking protocol with their children. We are noticing many students coming into school without masks, disposing of them outside, and not wearing them properly. We know it's hard on everyone to wear the masks all day but we ask for your support in just reminding your child to be mask conscious so we can all remain safe and healthy at all times.
REMINDERS:
As we see an increase in the number of positive COVID cases in our area, we truly need your support and ongoing safety measures to remain safe and secure. Please remember:
* For your safety & the safety of others, if your child or anyone in your house is experiencing COVID symptoms, stay home and get tested;
* Wear your mask; and
* Practice Social Distancing.
As a reminder, the FTSD offers weekly COVID-19 testing for FREE every Monday afternoon from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Riverfront School (park in APR parking lot) for all students & staff members. This is a walk-in clinic; no appointment is required. We encourage any individual who may have been exposed to COVID-19 or any person experiencing symptoms to utilize this resource.
Below are flyers regarding our weekly COVID-19 testing clinic and the Burlington County Testing schedule and Vaccination Site schedule. If you have any specific questions or concerns, please contact the school nurse or visit the county website at https://www.co.burlington.nj.us/290/Health-Department.
We truly appreciate your support!
