1 Thessalonians 5.16-18
Principal's Corner
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2
Where do you go for help when you need it; what do children witness in this regard? If you have a flat tire, you call AAA. If you have a clogged drain, you call a plumber. Where do we go for help when our world seems to be falling apart? Who is the expert in matters of life? The Psalmist makes it very clear when he says, “(Our) help comes from the Lord!” There is never a time when we are outside the loving care of our Heavenly Father. We never face our trials and temptations alone. He stands guard over our lives. He is our keeper, our Hope! He does not slumber nor sleep. He preserves our souls. His love is unconditional. God has promised victory and blessing to all who trust Him with their lives. It is a matter of urgency, then, that we live our lives in this refreshing knowledge! It is a matter of urgency that we share this HOPE and PROMISE with our children, friends, and neighbors! Let’s clearly demonstrate to everyone around us today where our help comes from - “Our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

Children's Ministry
Red Hill Lutheran Church offers a weekly Children’s Ministry Program for all children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Using a combination of large group and small group activities, we intentionally strive to create an environment where children come to Know Jesus, Impact the world around them, become Disciples of Jesus and Serve others – K.I.D.S.!
If you do not already have a church home, we invite you to join us. Family Worship is on the first Sunday of the month, at which time whole families are invited to worship together during our 10:00 am Contemporary Worship Service in the Sanctuary.
For more information, please contact Children's Ministry Coordinator, Beth Stoffregen.

March Teaching Series- "Revealed"
Sunday, March 08th – The Parable of the Sower & the Seed
Sunday, March 15th – Parable of the Mustard Seed
Sunday, March 22nd – Parable of the Talents (Faithful Servant)
Sunday, March 29th – Parable of the Two Debtors
OVERVIEW:
On March 8th we start our new teaching series “Revealed.” An illusionist’s motto is “magicians never reveal their secrets.” That is because once we figure out the mechanics of how each illusion is performed, the act loses its “magic.” Jesus, however, shares with us all the trade secrets of being in a relationship with God and serving the Kingdom of God. Often times, it was through teaching with parables that these “secrets” were revealed, secrets such as: I can be a part of something big, God will never stop loving me, God made me to do great things, and God forgives me. Of course, kids will quickly learn that these aren’t secrets at all and that they should share it with EVERYONE!
We invite all kids to join us on Sunday mornings in the K.I.D.S. Zone!
Family Easter Escapade
(A Palm Sunday experience for preschool and elementary families)
April 5th, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm (immediately following church)
It can be a real challenge to provide age-appropriate opportunities for kids to engage with the story of Easter! This event is for preschool and elementary aged families, where they will travel from station to station and experience key events leading to the death and resurrection of Jesus! Lunch will be provided.
Shine Summit
5th & 6th Grade One Day Retreat
Saturday, April 25th 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
At Crean Lutheran High School
“This Little Light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine!” This is one of the first songs that we teach our children, yet as children get older the world will try to blow out that light with self-doubt, guilt and worldly struggles. Jesus continues to strengthen us and shine through us! Each child has been given gifts that God uses to point people to Him as long as they aren’t afraid to use them. Join us for a day of growth, fun, and service with hundreds of other 5th & 6th graders at Crean Lutheran High School as we let our light Shine for Jesus!
Registration fee is $45 per person, which includes lunch and a t-shirt.
Registration deadline is Monday, March 30th.
To register, please go to www.redhillchurch.org/youth-family/middle-school
Contact Phil Gaylor (pgaylor@redhillchurch.org) or Beth Stoffregen (beths@redhillchurch.org) with any questions. Invite your friends!
PHASE BOOK RESOURCES!
Many families are checking out books from our Family Resource Cart. THIS IS SO FANTASTIC! We love getting these resources into your hands! Our Phase Books are of particular interest to many families. Because of this high demand, we have purchased additional copies of each Phase Book, covering every phase from Newborn Baby to 12th Grade.
Stop by our Family Resource Cart and see what the Phase Books have to say about the phase your child is currently in.
Once you have found the book you are interested in, simply fill out the card located inside the front cover and drop it in the wood box on the Family Resource Cart. When you are finished, bring the book back & put the card back inside the front cover!
Can't find the information you are looking for? Let us know.
We will see if we can help find that resource for you.
Our Family Resource Cart can be found on the courtyard patio on Wednesday and Sunday mornings and in the Narthex (lobby) of the Church on all other days.
Dave Ramsey- Financial Peace University Class
Begins Wednesday March 25th 2020!
Financial Peace University (FPU) is a nine-week video curriculum on money management taught by financial expert Dave Ramsey. Red Hill Church in Tustin will be once again be hosting this class on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm beginning March 25th 2020. Almost 400 families completed this course when we offered it last fall. The average participant of that class experienced a financial turn-around of approximately $2,700 in just 9 weeks! The course is based on more than 800 verses of Scripture and is a proven plan to help individuals and families take control of their money, regardless of their current financial situation.
There is a materials and membership cost of $ 129.99 to take this class. This is the cost that the Dave Ramsey group charges, not the church. This fee covers all class materials, including audio CD’s of all the lessons, book, workbook, envelope system, and a lifetime membership in Financial Peace University. This means you can repeat the class as often as you’d like. This is a small investment to make in your financial health. You can sign up online via the Dave Ramsey website at www.daveramsey.com/fpu/classfinder and search for classes in Tustin. Our class should be at the top of the list. Click register to sign up. If you already have an FPU membership, select the box for “I already have class materials.” Otherwise, leave this box unchecked. You will receive your materials during the first week of the class. You may also sign up by contacting our class coordinator, Vivianne Kitano, at viviannekitano@hotmail.com or call 714-296-7289.
In addition, we will have some light snacks each week and many books and resources available for class members to borrow. The coordinator that leads this class was trained by Dave Ramsey's team in Tennessee. This is the 15th class that the coordinator has taught. You will really enjoy this class. Please RSVP early, space is limited and we always fill up. Hope you can join us!
