uROCK!
Nichole, uROCK! Nicole provided leadership for our student council to create three centerpieces for the CA Education Foundation Dinner! They were creative and student centered and will represent Rankin wonderfully at the dinner. u ROCK!
Anna, uROCK! Anna worked diligently to get all our 5th graders registered for the middle school given a short time frame to complete registration and students that continually did not bring back forms... She worked closely with students with their best interest in mind trying to guide their middle school selection to make it a successful experience.
M-STEP Testing
We will begin M-STEP testing this week with our 5th grade students on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Please understand that you will need to be flexible in terms of building use and schedules. We will be using the circle room, computer lab, science room (am) and the media center office for testing. We have no idea the time frame that will be required for testing. There is no time limit on the test and we will move slow testers into one location to allow for others to move on. We will see what this means as testing begins! Please ask students to travel quietly through the building so they do not disrupt testing.
MI Statewide Tornado Drill
Wednesday, April 13th has been established to be Michigan Statewide Tornado Drill at 1:30. Not the best of planning since it falls during M-STEP testing.....With that in mind we will test in the morning and for those students not finished we will start back up in the afternoon following the tornado drill at 1:30.
2nd Annual CA Education Foundation Community Auction and Raffle for kids
Everyone is invited to attend. It is Friday, April 29th from 5:30 - 8:30. Honoree is Mr. Richard Lee. Join the fun!! Lots of auction items!
Dimes for Diapers
I know it seems like we are continually collecting money -which this year seems to be true. The district signed up for the Dimes for Diapers collection. A great cause, however, we were in the middle of the Pennies for Patients campaign during March. We will participate for the month of April and do the best we can.....Cindy will get canisters out to teachers and flyers out to students this week. We may plan a "special day" to generate interest.
Report Cards
Report card information is due in report cards by Monday, April 18th at 8:00. Kristina will send you your report card preview to review/approve. Report card will go home Wednesday, April 20th.
