Ethnic ghettos were small areas with large groups of people with similar backgrounds.
"One Big Family"
Sometimes two or more families lived in tenement houses. These were small, overcrowded apartments that these families lived in.
"A New Shock"
These people were used to living with others like themselves, and now they are working with people they have no idea about.
"Melting Together"
Many different types of people from different cultures melt together to create a new life for themselves and work together in the process.
