TMS Weekly Update 2018-2019

March 8, 2019

We had a great March Madness week with many students participating after school which culminated with dodgeball and basketball games against the faculty yesterday last period. Many adults will be feeling the effects of their athletic endeavor, including the principal, but it was a great way to end the day.

March 12th Celebration of Learning

You will notice in the calendar that we are having our second annual Celebration of Learning on March 12th at 6:00. Our Celebration of Learning is a night with few scheduled events but rather a night that students can show their parents/guardians what they are doing here at TMS. Teachers will be around in each room to help answer questions but it is a night that students get to be proud of all they are doing each day in their school. All are welcome.

If you have not ordered a 2018-2019 yearbook for your child, click on this link before it's too late!

The TMS yearbook club would love to receive photos from students! If you have any photos from sporting events, or extra curricular activities, that your child would like to see in the yearbook, please forward them to, or drop them off at the front office! Thank you in advance! ~ Ms.Cirrone

Online Safety Reminder

As some of you may have heard, there has been media coverage regarding a video that is on YouTube called the "Momo Challenge." The video contains very inappropriate content for children.

The MOMO character has showed up in popular Youtube videos such as Fortnite. Hackers are placing this image in videos. These images scare children and many believe the character is watching them and may do harm to them. There are also videos that are encouraging self-harm.

Please refer to the attachment and resource below.

We strongly encourage you to continue to monitor the content your children access on electronic devices. In addition, please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.

Pennies for Patients

TMS has supported the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through The Pennies for Patients program. Our kick off assembly will be Monday and the fundraiser runs through March 22nd.

Students will see a short video giving them information about how they can donate to this worthy cause. Each student will receive a donation box and each homeroom will receive a donation box. In addition to those, there will also be online donating this year. Here are the links:
