How can Bond funds be used?
Blue Valley generally has three funds available: operating, bond and capital outlay. So, what are the differences between the funds and how they can be used? Learn more in the district’s "Breaking Down the Bond: How can bond funds be used?" video. Want to learn more about Bond 2023? Visit www.bluevalleyk12.org/bond.
The Blue Valley calendar committee meets annually to design future year calendars that balance instructional time for students, professional learning needs of staff, and family and community priorities.
Blue Valley families are invited to share thoughts to help inform the development of future school year calendars. Through a short seven-question survey, families can rank preferences around professional learning days, spring break and other calendar priorities. The survey will close on Friday, Nov. 25.
Survey input will be considered when creating the draft 2024-25 calendar, as well as future school year calendars.

On Thursday, the Blue Valley Educational Foundation announced a historic $683K in grants to our schools and districtwide programs. The surprise squad, including Kansas City Royals' Joel Goldberg, FOX4 News Kansas City's John Holt, BV Ed Foundation members and BV staff, headed to schools to surprise educators and students with their grants.

Nov. 14-18 celebrated as American Education Week
Next week we join school districts nationwide in celebrating American Education Week, November 14-18. This is a time to celebrate public education and honor those who make a difference in ensuring every child receives a quality education. That includes educators and support professionals in our schools, parents, guardians and community leaders. Here in Blue Valley, we appreciate the support of our local community. When it comes to educating Blue Valley students, we’re all in it together.
Along with some of the activities our schools may have planned, we look to our great community to help celebrate American Education Week across our schools. Every Blue Valley school is filled with caring and committed educators. Start off American Education Week by writing a thank you letter to an educator, support professional or administrator that has helped you or your child the most.
Throughout the week, the district will highlight all the amazing things that make us Blue Valley. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to follow along!
