Surveying our Stakeholders

There has been increased interest in an after school program for Plainview Elementary students. We are to the point in our discussions where we need input from YOU! Please CLICK HERE to take a survey and let us know your family's interest level in an after-school program.

Please know, that taking this survey does not mean that we will start an after school program. We are simply collecting data to determine if there is a great enough need in the community.

Thank you for your assistance!

Junior Fire Patrol

This year marks the 61st YEAR of Junior Fire Patrol for the Plainview Volunteer Fire Department!! Fifth grade students (and due to COVID cancelling last year's class - 6th grade students) and parents are invited to attend Junior Fire Patrol to learn the in’s and out’s of fire safety.

Classes will start on March 2nd and be held each Tuesday night for five weeks. Classes will last from 7p.m. until approximately 8:15p.m.

It is my hope that ALL fifth and sixth grade students are able to attend Junior Fire Patrol to learn fire safety and first aid skills.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Routines

Please remember that when you come to drop off in the morning, there is NO PARKING in the drop-off zone. If you need to park to come in to the buildings for any reason, please find a parking spot to do so. When one person parks in the drop-off zone, it makes it very difficult for others to drop their students off.

During after school pick-up, please remember that once the busses pull off we ask that all cars pull all the way past the elementary building to the west sidewalk. This allows several cars to pick-up students at the same time. Once that load is full, we ask that you once again pull all the way to the west sidewalk.

Pennies for Patients

Once again, Plainview students have blown me away with their generosity! As a school, we collected $1,948.95!! Thank you to all parents, grandparents, and friends who made that total possible! Our top class was Mrs. Arlt's Kindergarten class. They will enjoy their pizza party within the next few weeks. Mrs. Sauser's 4th graders and Mrs. Meuret's 3rd graders will also be enjoying popcorn parties for collecting over $250 each!
