KAS Summer/Afterschool Offerings

Maker Mondays - Musical Instruments!

Maker Mondays will continue after Spring Break. We had a blast learning about electric circuits while creating light up bracelets, stuffies and bookmarks. For the last 8 Mondays of school, we'll get together to design and create unique musical instruments with recycled materials. We will incorporate MaKey MaKey, soft circuits, Scratch, Little Bits, and more, and end with a cacophonous concert for parents. 8 Mondays from April 6-June 1. No class Memorial Day. All Ages!

Cost of the camp is $175, and includes materials and snack.

Email Aimee at aimee.defoe@kentuckyavenueschool.org to sign up.

Film Camp Continues!

In film camp, first grade teacher Dave Montgomery works with kids from Kindergarten and up with reader's theater, or make our own stories, paint set backgrounds, use costumes, then rehearse and film our movies. He edits the films himself, but shows the kids some of the behind-the-scenes stuff that makes them so much fun. Everyone gets their own DVD to take home and if time permits, we will host all the parents on the last day of camp for a big-screen premiere!

Cost is $175 per child and will include a light snack for all 10 sessions. If you are interested in, please email me at david.montgomery@kentuckyavenueschool.org to confirm your spot! Space for camp is very limited, so act fast. Dave will write you back to confirm. Camp tuition can be paid in cash or checks can be made out to David Montgomery and will be due by the first class. Thanks in advance and hope to see you there!

SCHEDULE: 5 weeks, 2x a week. Wednesdays and Fridays in April (4/1, 4/3, 4/8, 4/10, 4/15, 4//17, 4/22, 4/24, 4/29, 5/1)
