School Pass will allow our staff to more easily identify visitors, ensure they should be allowed in the school, and know who is in our school buildings at any given time.

Beginning Nov. 27th, when visiting our school, you will either scan your driver’s license or photo ID OR enter your full name, date of birth, and take a photo at our iPad kiosk if a license is not applicable. You will be issued a printed visitor badge with your photo on it to wear while you are in the school. The visitor badge will also include who you are coming to visit and the purpose of your visit. On subsequent visits, you will be able to use the unique visitor code assigned by the system or follow the previously described check-in procedures. Because the system is district-wide, visitors will not have to sign in as a new user at each individual school.

Staff members will receive an email when someone checks in to visit them.

As part of the check-in process, School Pass will search a national offender database and local custody alerts. If a visitor is on one of these alert lists, the school principal will be notified to determine next steps. This new system will be applicable to all vendors, contractors, volunteers, parents and other visitors at our schools.

At the conclusion of each visit, visitors will need to return to the office to check out. Checking out is simple and requires a quick scan of the QR code on their printed visitor badge.
