Weekly Bulletin - May 1, 2020
LEADERSHIP MESSAGE
Welcome to the Month of May! What a great opportunity to recognize our mental health and continue to support one another through these challenging times. It's hard to believe we have completed 6 weeks of online learning. We are very proud of our students....and parents in guiding your children at home-they are doing great!
We also recognize this as the Month of Mary honoring the Virgin Mary as "the Queen of May".
Please continue to reach out as needed and provide support for one another as best we can. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all families and staff. Please see the video message shared through the Google Classrooms this morning.
When we aren't sure, God,
help us be calm;
when information comes
from all sides, correct and not,
help us to discern;
when fear makes it hard to breathe,
and anxiety seems to be the order of the day,
slow us down, God;
help us to reach out with our hearts,
when we can't touch with our hands;
help us to be socially connected,
when we have to be socially distant;
help us to love as perfectly as we can,
knowing that "perfect love casts out all fear."
In the love of the Creator,
in the name of the Healer,
in the life of the Holy Spirit that is in all and with all,
we pray.
Amen.
MAY-MONTH OF MARY
Parent/Teacher Conference April 27 - May 7
As you are aware, we had to postpone our "Student-led conferences" originally scheduled for March 30th/Apr. 1st. We would like to extend this opportunity to you once again in a Parent-Teacher context through the period of April 27-May 7.
Many of you have been in close contact with your teacher and may not feel this is necessary at this time. However, teachers will be reaching out through their Google Classroom to extend this opportunity in accordance with their schedules(s). These meeting could occur through a Google Meet, Zoom call, or telephone call.

A lost library book fine will be applied to student accounts for library books not returned.

Unfortunately we can't run together as a team, but I would encourage all past team members and anyone else to join the virtual AMA Run Club. This is a great opportunity for families to go out together and be active! Heading out for a run before you start your school work for the day or after lunch would provide a great energy boost for everyone! These unique times have provided many of us with the flexibility to get outside and move during the day, let's take advantage of it!
By registering for the club participants will receive:
- Weekly emails (to parents) with activities and challenges you can complete at home
- A 10 week running/walking program that builds up to a 2 or 5 km fun run!
- Certificate of completion at the end of June and finisher prizes for every participant
- An entry to win 1 of many Garmin Activity Trackers drawn at the end of June
