October 2018
The Principal's Perspective
We have finished all of our beginning-of-the-year assessments for ELA. This data will help guide our instruction to meet students' reading and writing needs.
I have embedded pictures of our first grade classes. Every month I will focus on a different grade level. It's great to see all the different ways our students learn.
We have a lot going on in October. Some classes will even start going to the planetarium this month. See individual teacher updates for this information.
Home and School has been organizing great events for Woodland students. A special thank you to all these volunteers.
Calling ALL Dads: Do you have your clearances? Do you have a few extra hours to volunteer? Please contact the Woodland office (610) 489-5000 ext. 43200 to let them know you are interested. If it's easier, you can send an email to apirolli@methacton.org. We are thinking about starting a program at Woodland that focuses on Dads volunteering in the schools. I'm trying to gauge interest levels. More information to come.
