Formulation of the US Constitution

What is as strong as an oak tree, but can bend like a rubber band? The answer is the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution is a strong document, more powerful than any branch of government or any state. At the same time, it is flexible enough to allow for freedom and changes in America.

The Constitution of the United States is the cornerstone of our American government. In 4,543 words this document describes the structure or plan of the government and the rights of the American people. The Constitution is organized into three parts. It begins with the Preamble, which describes the purpose of the document and the government. Next are seven Articles. These articles establish how the government is structured and how the Constitution can be changed. Last, are the changes to the Constitution, which are called amendments.

The first ten are called the Bill of Rights and as of today there are 17 more additional amendments. These amendments make the Constitution a "living document" because it can be amended or changed. So as an oak tree grows, provides shade, and sways in the wind, the U.S. Constitution grows, changes, protects, and guides us. Celebrate Freedom Week!

How Do You KNOW He's the ONE?

In high school, relationships become more common. There can be too many thoughts and not enough words. It is best to keep it suitable. Here are 10 ways to know if the relationship is worth your time.

  1. When he is busy, he will still find time for you. One of the many reasons you know he's the one, is when he is happy to take time out of his day to be with you. (No matter how hectic his schedule is.)
  2. Always trying to make you laugh. His goal is to keep you happy and always knows the perfect words to say to keep a smile on your face.
  3. He's not embarrassed to be around you. He's very open when he's around you and not afraid to express himself. For example, you're not embarrassed to cry in front of him because you know he will always be there to help, but you shouldn't cry often because it can get nettlesome.
  4. He shows you off and brags about you. He wants the public to know you're his everything.
  5. He adores everything about you. He accepts all of your flaws because in his eyes you are perfect. It's not all about the perfect hair and makeup, he appreciates natural beauty.
  6. He understands you and always complimenting you on your worst times. He can easily tell when something's wrong and out of the ordinary without question. For example, when you have that giant pimple on your face he's going to remind you he's still attracted to you no matter your completion because it happens to the best of us.
  7. He respects you. He shares the same values as you on boundaries and doesn't depend on you to be the building block of the relationship. You also don't want to be very dependent on him because that gets overwhelming.
