Monday Minute, Happy New Year!

Renew Your Classroom/School in January
Speaking of MiddleWeb, they used Google Analytics to find their most-clicked on articles of 2019. From ESL to SEL, from teaching the whole kid and meeting one-on-one, these posts have something for everybody.
And, this article by Debbie Silver, "Three Steps for THRIVE-ing in the New Year" has some realistic suggestions for small things that can make a difference.
We often make reference to Vicki Davis, "Cool Cat Teacher." She has excellent ideas that she shares through her website, podcasts, and guest speakers. Here's a recent post, "22 Top Tips for Better Classroom Management."
Champions Together Training at Lowell MS, January 27
The most effective and quickest way to get your MIDDLE SCHOOL involved with Champions Together in the Middle is to have them attend the next REGIONAL TRAINING at Lowell Middle School on January 27th from 12-2CST! Lunch will be provided by Lowell Middle School. Invite your middle school to bring 5-10 students with 1-2 faculty members to learn all about CHAMPIONS TOGETHER IN THE MIDDLE. The group that attends will get hands on training from Lowell Middle School’s best students and faculty and a Special Olympics staff member. The group will also get to be a part of Lowell Middle School’s all school assembly put on by Craig Tornquist!
Your middle school group will leave knowing all about Champions Together in the Middle, a plan to implement this inclusive strategy at your school, and support from one of the best Champions Together in the Middle programs!
Contact Tori Cox tcox@soindiana.org if your middle school(s) will be in attendance!
