- Specials teacher will travel to the classrooms. The exception is PE, if students can safely social distance then they will use the gym or outside.
- Students will be seated 6+ feet apart in the cafe or gym for lunch. They will sit with their cohort/class.
- All students and staff will be required to wear face coverings per state and county mandates.
- Parents must wear masks if they are walking their child up our school.
- No Visitors or Volunteers on campus
- Student desks will all be facing forward and placed between 3 and 6 feet apart in the classrooms.
- Restrooms will be limited to 2 to 3 students at a time, depending on the restroom.
These are just a few things we are doing to keep students safe. Please refer to our district webpage for more information.
Here are a few TIPS and TRICKS to add to your morning routine
Some helpful tips on how to get your child ready for the school day can include:
Making sure everyone has their masks and full water bottles before leaving the house.Ask a few questions:
- "Is everybody feeling OK?
Check temperatures, make sure that no one's temperature is over 100.4.
Ask if anyone has a scratchy throat or cough?
Maybe ask, “how did your breakfast taste?" Or ask, “how did everything taste this morning?”
Incorporating these questions into your daily morning routine will help to simplify screening before sending your children to school.
Thank you for helping to keep our campus safe and healthy!

NEW PROCEDURES THIS YEAR
Our library procedures are changing this year. Student will be reserving books online.Teacher will help them in the classrooms, but they can can do it from home as well.
This is the link to my virtual library, On the first slide there are six books that have links either to a summary of the book or an interview of the author of that book. You will also see a computer. If you click on the computer screen it will take you to Destiny. The second slide has log in instructions to Destiny and then you'll see over eighty slides that have books with links to read alouds. Take a look and enjoy!
eBooks
We have eBooks available on Destiny and MackinVia. You need to be logged in to open the eBooks in Destiny. The books that say Follet eBook will open once clicked on and the books that just say eBook will take you to MackinVia when you click on open.
To log in on MackinVia you enter Litchfield and select Litchfield Elementary, user ID is Litchfield, and password is owls. If you want to go straight to MackinVia, here is the link . There are hundreds of books available on MackinVia and new ones were recently added, like the "Wings of Fire" and the "I survived" series. Happy Reading!
