Course Description
Being an effective teacher requires a variety of skills but some of the most important are the ability to communicate effectively with students, motivate students to learn, and implement successful instructional planning within the classroom.
This course will help you further explore and understand the importance of these skills, and how they impact each individual in the classroom. You will learn how to recognize different elements of communication, such as verbal, non-verbal and unintended. You will also learn about the different theories on motivation and how to create a classroom environment that incites determination and enthusiasm. You will learn about instructional planning and how to make the learning experience most beneficial for your students.
This course will be of great interest to all educators and trainers who want to learn more about effective teaching skills and how to apply them in an educational setting.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Identify and correctly make use of the different functions which communication serves in the classroom;
- Effectively use and understand verbal and non-verbal communication;
- Identify and describe the four main participation structures that guide ;communication in ways expected by the class, including their advantages and disadvantages;
- Use communication in the classroom to stimulate students’ thinking;
- Identify the differences between how a teacher uses communication and how a student uses communication;
- Select general learning goals for their students;
- Formulate specific educational objectives using cognitive or behavioral approaches;
- Treat their students as a source of instructional goals;
- Enhance student learning by using a variety of resources for goals;
- Create bridges among curriculum goals and students’ prior experiences for success of instructional goals;
- Understand that many different factors affect a student’s motivation to learn;
- Understand the theories of behaviorism, self-efficacy and self-determination and how they relate to a student’s motivation;
- Explain and understand how personal achievement goals and personal interests affect a student’s motivation;
- Combine these different theories for motivation in their classroom;
- Support and encourage factors which promote student motivation.
Financial conditions - Fee
- The course fee – 600 € for a 7 days course. Amount includes preparation for the course, tuition, training materials, administration costs, organizational costs, half-day excursion and VAT. (Without travel)
- We can provide you very nice and comfortable hotels. All expenses is covered by EU in Erasmus+ School and Erasmus+ Adult project.
