NOTEWORTHY NEWS BY MRS. FOSTER
WEEK OF MARCH 30 - APRIL 3, 2015
CAMP ACADEMICS
GREETINGS
The warm weather has hit! Along with the warm weather come allergies. Speaking of allergies, we are out of Kleenex. If you can send a box or two, it would be greatly appreciated.
Please continue to encourage your child to work hard and do their best every day. I would not want to see them catch "spring fever".
THREE RULES FOR SUCCESS
- I will be respectful
- I will be responsible
- I will do my best everyday
READING/WRITING
MATH
SOCIAL STUDIES
We will be working on map skills for the next 4 weeks. The students will be looking at many different kinds of maps: maps of the classroom, maps of the school building, and maps of the playground just to mention a few. We will move into reading more sophisticated maps in the near future.
SCIENCE
CHICKS! We will be studying about the life cycle of chickens. We will have eggs in the library, and we will watch as the chicks hatch from them. We will be checking on them daily to see if any changes have occurred. We will learn many interesting pieces of information about them. I will be sending information out to you about how you can watch their progress on your computer.
PEARLS OF WISDOM
The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... These are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.
