Principal's Message
Welcome Back to our Track 3 students and families! I hope you had an excellent time during track out!
Thank you to all families that attended the Valentine's Day Dance. The turnout was fantastic. This was truly a memorable event for our students. Tomorrow is a Teacher Workday and there is no school for students. However, we are delighted that we will see students and families at our "Wild About Learning" Curriculum Night tomorrow from 4:00-6:00. Please note that we added an additional session regarding Single Subject Acceleration (SSA). This session will be facilitated by Ms. Shipley from 3:15-3:45 in the Makerspace. During this session, families will gain additional information about qualifying criteria in grades K‐7 for advanced academic content in mathematics or English Language Arts through SSA. Information about testing, timelines, and services will be offered.

PUE Parents are invited to a "Wild About Learning" session on Monday, February 17th from 4-6PM. Parents will have the opportunity to meet with the PUE staff and administration to discuss their child's learning objectives and also learn about other emotional and social topics such as anxiety and internet safety. The sessions are from 4pm-5pm and 5pm-6pm. Each session will be offered at both times. Parents should use the following links to sign up for their sessions of interest and childcare (if applicable). The teachers and administrators are excited to share the ways they teach our kids! We hope to make this an annual event depending on the parents’ level of interest.

Global Education at PUE
Our Sustainable Development Goal for the month is all about Peace and Justice. Students will learn about safety, peace, and conflict resolution this month. Our 5th grade team has planned a Great Kindness Challenge for our entire school. Teachers will talk with students about what kindness looks like. Students will be able to nominate one another for being kind by putting a colored heart on the “Kindness Grows” tree which will be displayed in the lobby. Hearts will also be sent home for parents to nominate their children. A video intro of the Great Kindness Challenge will be played on WPAW.
