ECLC Class News
Week of 12/14-12/17
What we did this week ...
This week many of our centers and books were about snowflakes. I read No Two are Alike, A Special Snowflake, and Little Snowflake's Big Adventure. We listened to Winter stories on the iPads utilizing QR Codes. The students also made snowflakes out of craft sticks.
The students made a snowflake craft
The boys were busy playing.
The girls are having fun too. Sorry for the picture quality, I am getting a new phone over the winter break. I hope my future pictures will come out better.
Other things we did this week ....
In phonics, the students learned the letter, key word and sounds for the letters v and w. The key word for w is wind and van for v.
The sight word this week was "is."
It was wonderful meeting with all of you for parent conferences. I was happy to share the great progress they have made.
If you ever have any questions about your child, the curriculum, or anything else, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I would be happy to meet for a future conference or answer any questions through an e-mail.
I will be sending home information about the language we use for the handwriting component of Fundations soon.
REMINDER-ECLC does not meet on half days. There is no school for ECLC on 12/21, and 12/23. If you have any questions about this, please let me know.
Have a wonderful weekend.
