Wimmer's Weekly
English IV, Writing Skills/Technical Writing, & Yearbook
The Week of April 30-May 4
In looking at the calendar, I realized that we are only four short weeks from our summer break. This tends to be the time when seniors believe they are done, and start to falter in their work and attendance. Please make sure you are encouraging your students to stay on top of their responsibilities! We are so close to the end, and that does make me a little sad. It has been a great year...this group of students may possibly be my favorite in 14 years! It has definitely been a pleasure to have them all this year.
English IV
Frankenstein is quite an undertaking during the final 4 weeks of school, but we are doing well. This week we are reading for comprehension and analysis. We will discuss allusion, themes, characterization, and plot.
Writing Skills/Technical Writing
We are finishing up a film study over The Princess Bride and will begin a short unit on poetry writing in order to express oneself.
Yearbook
This week our focus is on finishing up the ladder for next year's book and preparing for this year's book delivery and distribution.
