Homecoming Parade

Hello, West Famiies!

John Glenn's Homecoming Game is next Friday the 24th and we will be supporting the team and district as we prepare for our Homecoming Parade. Flyers have been sent home and need to be returned so we can get an idea of how many students are coming. An adult must stay with the student throughout the duration of the parade. We look forward to a great event!

Also, this coming up week is spirit week. Read more below about each day in the newsletter below.

Thanks again for all you do and I appreciate all of your support!

Sincerely,

Craig Pfenninger

Principal Bangor West

Popcorn Friday's

It's back! Our famous Popcorn Fridays! Every Friday we will be popping popcorn for students to purchase. It is $.50 a box and students can bring in their money on Fridays with no forms or anything else needed.

If you are interested in popping popcorn, please turn in the yellow form given out at open house. You will also find it below (additional sheets available in the lobby) and submit a volunteer application to the office. The volunteer applications can be found online HERE. Thanks!

Morning Drop Off

Just a reminder that next week all parents will dismiss their child through the drop-off lane instead of parents walking them from the parking lot. This will allow traffic to continually move instead of stopping the flow routinely to allow for parents to cross. We have safety patrollers and other staff members able to help if students if needed. Please give hugs and kisses prior and have students ready to go out the door when they pull up in our drop-off zone.

Also, if traffic backs up, please allow our buses to get in and out of our parking lot so they can reach their next destination on time.

End of day early release

Students need to be in attendence until the end of the school day. If a student needs to leave early for a medical appointment or another situation, please call the office prior to 2:25. If students leave before 2:35, the students will be recorded as absent for the afternoon having missed over 30 minutes of instruction.

Label items/clothing

Parents, please remember to label all items especially jackets and coats as they are the items kids leave behind most often.

Student Handbook

If you would like to review the Student Handbook, the link is below. If you are new to Bangor Schools, you must sign the Student Handbook digitally on page 3.

Water Bottles

Please have your child bring a water bottle to use daily. Our drinking fountains are not available this year.
