Teacher Reuse Store / Giving Tuesday
Sawnee Woman’s Club and Reaping Nature are collecting classroom cleanouts for a Teacher Reuse Store. We are unable to collect materials at schools this year due to Covid-19. Individual teachers can drop off their classroom cleanouts at one of the following addresses:
- 2460 Gants Hill Place - Grandview Windermere (Denise Carleton)
- 3940 Stanford Drive - Southgate Windermere (Lisa LaFayette)
- 2510 Nottingham Way - Sherwood Forest off Doc Bramblett (Susan Sokolowsky)
We ask that the materials be boxed and/or bagged, and that teachers email Carleton.denise@gmail.com to let me know which address they will be dropping off at.
For Giving Tuesday 5/5, Reaping Nature is seeking donations to open a Teacher Reuse Store where teachers can shop for FREE classroom supplies this summer. We were working with Forsyth County Schools to have a pop up store in June at FCS's Elm Street location, but like everything else, this was cancelled. We are still committed to having a reuse store for our teachers and are seeking to raise $2,500. Donations in any amount are appreciated and can be made at https://www.gagives.org/story/H7ypjf.
Information about the reuse store is available at:
http://www.reapingnature.org/Teacher-Reuse-Store.htmlIf you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Stay safe and be well. Together we will get through this.

New ESOL Student Procedures
If you have ESOL students, please read:
Sometime this week and again during the week of May 11, please go into the RTI desktop and under the student collaboration document if you have been conferencing with students and if they have been completing their work. Dee and Martha will document the students that are doing the alternate assignments- IStation or Lexia and Dreambox. Classroom teachers will document the students that are scheduled to do the regular classroom assignments. Here are two examples.
Here are two blurb ideas:
In March and April I have met with ____________4 times for conferences in reading and math. ________ has been completing most classroom assignments.
Or
After several attempts I have had limited conversations with _____________ and his parents. _______________ has completed limited assignments. I will continue to reach out and offer additional support.
