FJVD Weekly Info

We Live the Word!

From the Principal's Desk

Dear Father Doyle Families,

I pray that you and your families were able to weather this week's storm without much difficulty or damage. We're grateful for cooler and clearer days ahead!

We officially completed our first full week of school today, and it's wonderful to see the great things happening in our classrooms! This includes our pre-kindergarten students who we welcomed for their first day of classes this past Tuesday. They are already hard at work learning classroom routines, completing various crafts and activities, and having lots of fun!

We're also gearing up for our first community event this year - our Annual Car Show coming up Saturday, September 11th! I would encourage every family to stop by, check-out some incredible cars, and patronize our wonderful vendors. There will also be food, music, and fun for all ages, as well as a tremendous used Book Sale! See the flyer below! I look forward to seeing many of you there!

Lastly, please note that, in accordance with our Parent Student Handbook and in consideration of students with peanut and tree nut allergies, Father Doyle School is a peanut and tree nut free school. We ask that families not provide snacks with peanuts or tree nuts.

Please be sure to review the following announcements and information carefully:

Aluminum Can Tab Collection

What: Aluminum can tabs are being collected

Why: To support the Ronald McDonald House in Providence

How can you help? Save can tabs and send them in to Mr. Godin’s room.

Bottle Cap Drive

We’re excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This provides new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases, you simply send in bottle caps or product codes from boxes of beverages and our school receives a donation.

All caps and codes should be sent to Mr. Godin. Codes will be entered on one account to gain larger and quicker donations.

Thank you!
