A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
It was a short week but it was filled with blessings! We practiced our songs for the Christmas Program, enjoyed Thanksgiving feasts, and gave thanks for the many blessings in our lives.
Last week you received an order form for a Marquette yearbook. The ECDC is included in the yearbook, however, we will also produce a Memory Book specifically for the ECDC that chronicles our events from the year. It will be made available to order in the spring.
Saturdays for Shopping is coming up on December 5th. This is an opportunity for you to leave your preschooler at the ECDC while you do Christmas shopping. This year we are limiting attendees to only current ECDC students. Registration forms are available on the school website, here.
Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

MEDICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE STATEMENT
Medical Advisory Committee Statement
The Marquette Medical Advisory Council is keenly aware of the community covid trends as we continue to communicate with the school administration. With the current available data, it appears that our school’s preventative measures are working. However, we cannot control the mitigation efforts of our community outside of school.
The biggest threat to in-person learning is the ability to staff our classrooms. Therefore, as a community, serious and consistent efforts must be acted upon to prevent the spread of Covid-19. In order to avoid changing to virtual learning, it is imperative that you practice the following.
If anyone in your immediate family has reason to believe they were exposed to Covid-19 and are showing symptoms, we ask that you contact the administration before sending your child to school.
Have each member of your family (above age 4) wear a mask consistently and properly.
Avoid unnecessary indoor gatherings.
When in doubt, withhold your child from school when potential symptoms of Covid-19 are present in order to avoid the spread and possible exposure of the classroom. We know how difficult this can be with the current allergy index. For further questions, please contact your child’s pediatrician. Listed are the most common COVID symptoms in children:
Fever or chills
Cough
Nasal congestion or runny nose
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Diarrhea
Nausea or vomiting
Stomach ache
Tiredness
Headache
Muscle or body aches
Please have the perspective that the current pandemic does not have an end in sight. Fatigue in following mitigation strategies is real, however, it presents a real risk to our health and ability to continue with in-person learning.

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM INFORMATION
Tickets:
We are all looking forward to welcoming you to our Christmas Programs in December. If you will not use all 4 tickets, you can return them to us and we will assign them to families requesting additional seats. If you would like to request additional seats, you may email Mrs. Bergner at sarah.bergner@marquetteschool.org and she will add you to the waitlist. All guests over the age of two must have a ticket to enter.
What to Wear:
On the day of your child’s program, please dress them in uniform bottoms and a long or short sleeve white shirt. Please refrain from any additional hair accessories, bows, etc., as many of the costumes have a headpiece included. In addition, please be sure they have shoes that meet the dress code requirements. Please be assured that we are taking extra precautions with the costumes. Most children will have a specific garment assigned to them. Others will be cleaned between uses.
When to Arrive:
If your child attends school on the program day please arrive at the regular morning drop-off time. If your child does not usually attend on program day, please bring your child to the gym door 15 minutes prior to the program time. (see below for dates/times)
Please feel free to contact the office if you have any questions.
