Main Character/ Challenges
- The main Character is Jonas.
- Some challenges that Jonas has faced are:
- Knowing important information that he can talk about with the Giver and the receiver after him only.
- Looking at the community the same way he did before. For example, when Asher was playing the war game it reminded Jonas of the memory of war that the Giver gave him, Jonas did not want to play anymore because he felt uncomfortable
- Jonas knows a lot more and he feels that he does not fit in.
The Giver
The Giver is giving the memories that Jonas needs to know. The Giver helps Jonas by helping Jonas not to freak about the memories because the memories can have a big affect on Jonas since he has not seen events that he is seeing now.
Asher
Asher is a good friend of Jonas. They have known each other ever since they were little kids. Their whole lives the both friends helped each other but Jonas helped Asher a little more.
Fiona
Jonas has a crush on Fiona. One of the first things he had notice of color was Fiona's hair. Before he was assigned to receiver he noticed Fiona's red hair.
Quote
"The worst part of holding the memories is not the pain. It's the loneliness of it. Memories need to be shared". - Lois Lowry
