Message from the Principal

This school year is is quickly coming to a close! The last day for 8th grade is May 27 and last day for 6th and 7th grade is June 3rd.


If you will be leaving town for summer vacation before the end of the school year, please notify the main office (847) 824-1503 so we can ensure you receive the summer workbook and reading book early.

A Hardy Party is generously donating balloons and decor for the 8th grade dance!


This Des Plaines based company offers beautiful 6’ yard poles (for grad, birthday or otherwise) for $39.99 plus tax. They last a long time and can be brought inside too.

Girls on the Run

The GOTR girls ran the 5K on Tuesday and they did a great job considering it was also raining! They made the best of it and finished the race with smiles on their faces! Congratulations to all the runners, we had a great season with you all!

8th Grade Promotion Information

8th Grade Promotion Information

  • The last day of school for eighth graders will be Friday, May 27
  • The 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be May 31, 6:00 p.m. at the Maine West Spectator Gym.
  • We will be giving each student 6 tickets for the promotion ceremony. Please call the office if you need more.


If you haven't returned the information about and fee for the Promotion Ceremony gowns, you still have time. The cost of a new gown is $20.00, but families and grads are welcome to use a red Chippewa gown that an older sibling used in a previous promotion ceremony.


These letters, on blue paper, were sent home 2 weeks ago and there are copies attached below. If you're on free lunch, you don't have to pay $20 for the gown. And, if you live in the Maine East/West choice area, we need the response form indicating which school your child will be attending. Please call the office if you have any questions.
