Importance
The importance of plantations are to mass produce certain types of crops for the consumption of many others. To grow as much as possible in the land that you have. Most plantations are in MDC because the great majority of plantations need big equipment and machinery to run smoothly and effiencnt as possible.
Effects and interesting facts.
Soil deterioration and erosion, with all that land being used again and again the soil starts to lose its natural nutrients, of course farmers put fertilizer in the ground but it can't recover all the nutrients. Some plantations are taking over Forrest, leaving no habitats for the animals that live there. They make use of the lumber but taking down Forrest for more food is a controversial thing for some.
