Mrs. Noynaert's Kindergarten Class

Week of April 27, 2015

This Week in Room 508

The countdown to the last day of school has officially begun! The kids LOVED A and B days and are anxious to continue the fun!

We had several students in tears this week because they didn't have a snack. I know it is a busy time of year, but please try to remember to send one with your child each day. We have a late lunch and they get hungry mid-morning. Thanks!

Readers' Workshop:

We are going to be reviewing all the skills we have learned this year. As the texts get more difficult, it becomes a necessity to utilize these skills when there are words/phrases we don't know.

Writers' Workshop:

We will be working on our poetry unit this week.

Math Workshop:

We are going to continue to study addition this week.

Popcorn Words

Words we have studied: I, a, is, and, can, me, like, my, the, at, it, in, see, you, to, am, for, he/she, from, am, go, so, was, we, will, do, an, up, on, was

New this week: This week we will continue to discuss the difference between long and short vowel sounds. This is a difficult concept!

Please send a snack with your child every day.

Please return library books by Friday!
