Other Staff Notes:
- Into Reading "Texas" manuals: Bring all of these to Jamie's Intervention Room (room 297)
- If you borrow something from the workroom; please return it timley (ie. staplers, scissors, pencil sharpener, book binder)
- Construction Paper: If you open a new packet; throw away plastic wrap and use the partially opened paper first. Use the scrap drawer if you don't need a full piece. Don't save tiny scraps.
- Colored/White Paper for Copiers: Use what is open first. If you open a new package, throw away the plastic wrap.
- Paper Cutters: The blade flings up when not in use. Use the rubberband to secure it down for safety.
- If adding white paper to the copier; use a full ream or more to restock it for next users.
- Colored Paper in copier: Use only what you want and take it back out when done. Consider using up remnants of mixed colors to use up open packets when the project doesn't matter if they are different colors.
- Lamination leftovers is not paper. Put the waste in the trash.
- No Monday Morning Meetings for the time being. Advisory Team will work on this plan later.
- FREE stuff: Please do NOT take freebies to the work room. Just put them in your trash or recycling.
- Printing: Reams of paper are wasted as staff print to the upstairs or downstairs workroom printers and never go get their print outs. Please strive to use 'secure print' and retrieve your print outs on the copier by pushing 'secure print'. It saves A LOT of paper.
- Empty Pencil Sharpeners in work room.
- All IT and School Dude requests entered in their systems. Do not send emails.
- Taking a Day Off: Enter it in Skyward Time Off first. Then AESOP if you need a sub. If you miss the 6:30 AM day of - cut off time; you will need to text/call Jodi for a sub: 208-315-0158.
- NEW folks: Read the staff handbook (ask the office for a copy or find in eBinder)
- New Laptop Carts: We do have 2 on order. They may not be here for fall benchmarking. For now; plan on just the one cart per grade in 3-5.
- Computer Lab: Currently nobody can use the "Loper Lab" as it is scheduled as a 'special'. Until new laptops arrive; the other lab is not an option.
- Into Reading 'Texas' Manuals: Each classroom received these in the spring. Please deliver them to Jamie V's Intervention Room (as each teacher should use/keep their new set).
- Pink/Blue Slips: Donna is putting those in your mailbox for your new students. Please read them and RETURN them to Donna by Labor Day weekend so we don't lose them. They include notes from last year's teacher. DO NOT THROW THEM AWAY!
- Gifts & Grants Policy: If you receive a gift from a parent/student; read over Code of Ethics and our Gifts and Grants Policy as it needs to be under $50.00 otherwise we'd need to get a form filled out to get approval from Supt. and/or deposit any monetary gift to your school account.
- Missing Curriculum: David ordered 80 of everything. We do not have any grade levels more than 80. Please return extras neatly to the shelves in the Library Curriculum Closet. If you feel you are missing something, first ask your team, recount, look in curriculum closet. If you still can't solve the mystery; email Val & David.
- Specials Schedule: The specials schedule was just revised TODAY (8/22). Please find it in the ebinder and reprint/replan. Your times didn't change; but where you go may have.
- PBIS Start Up: Find in the eBinder the Eagle Eye template and have those ready to start acknowledging 5-10 kids per day. Also be sure you plan in your lesson plan week to review and perhaps give all students the expectations matrix. Make it a lesson to re-teach all expectations.
- Attendance & Lunch Count: Need to be done by 8:30 DAILY and attendance needs to be again by 1:15 (or mark the PM in the AM when you do it by 8:30). If you need help; consult with your team first. If you are planning to eat; put yourself in your class count so we don't run out of food!
- Photos: Strive to upload any school pictures from your phones to One Drive / eBinder / Photos / Your Grade Level. (then delete them off your phone).
- Committee Update List: "Bold your name if you are good with where you see your name on this link list. OR ADD OR DELETE your name. This tells me who is interested/willing to serve on a committee. I will then clean it up, recruit, or visit with you all if there are too many on one team. I dream of all staff members serving on ONE committee (either in district or the building level).
- NNU Credits: I am not writing a syllabus to offer our staff PD meetings for credit this year as I didn't get enough interest last year to make it worth it. Consider doing the book study credit(s) through Kylee C @ MDHS if you need credits.
- Safe Schools Trainings ONLINE: Please run through these in the next few days and get them done. If you didn't get the link; email Ginger Hughes.
- Bitmoji: If you don't have your Bitmoji on the office desk downstairs and you'd like it; ask Jodi how to do it and send her your Bitmoji!
- Copy Codes: If you don't have one; email Jodi.
- Fall Benchmarking Schedule: Jamie and Michelle will be working on this for MAP (Grades 3-5) and IRI (Grades K-3) ASAP. I believe we will be assigning folks a schedule as they want to support you.
- Schoology Webpage: All certified teachers need to update/clean up your website ASAP. If you need help; start by asking a teammate. If you are still stuck; put in IT ticket.
