KSD Scholastic Book Fair 2021
During the week of April 19th-23rd, KSD hosted a Scholastic Book Fair in the Emery Hall library! The kids were very excited to look at all the new books and purchase some books as well! Our KSD Endowment provided each student from ECC-KSTAR a free $5 book! Many students were grateful for this gift!
I am excited to announce that we made over $3,500 at our book fair this year! It is the most we have earned in our history of hosting book fairs! This means that we will be getting 50% of the sales ($1,750) to spend on new books for our libraries! This is an amazing gift! Thank you so much for supporting our school libraries! I am excited to purchase new hardback books for both of our libraries!
Stay tuned for another Scholastic Book Fair being held next year, April 25th-April 29th, 2022!

AR All School Reading Reward
To celebrate, each classroom voted on a Superhero movie to watch. They got to watch the movie and enjoy popcorn and drinks!! After the movies ended, they got treated to Pizza Hut Pizza for lunch! Our cafeteria provided sides for our meal (Thank you!). Luckily, the students and staff worked off all of those calories during Field Day activities in the afternoon!!!
Thank you for your support of helping our students read at home! Our goal for using the Accelerated Reader program is to encourage students to read plus help them enjoy reading a variety of books!
Individual AR awards will be handed out during the week of May 24th during library time! We will announce the 100 point winners and more high reading honors on our Elementary Facebook page on May 27th! Stay tuned!
