Player Early Childhood Center
October 2021
Player News!
Welcome to October! Now that students have been in school for six weeks, they are really showing signs of understanding classroom routines and rules. It is so fun to watch as students walk in crooked lines through the halls or run to line up from the playground when the they hear the bell. All of these things show they are picking up those rules and routines and following those procedures set up by the teachers.
So far, the weather has been very nice and the children still go outside everyday. It is an opportunity for them to get exercise and have fresh air. Teachers encourage students to remove their masks so they can take a break from wearing them. They also provide the students with an additional mask break at another point in the day when the children are safely distanced at 6 feet or more and they can also remove them when they are having snack. Most of the children really are doing a great job of keeping their masks on for the remainder of their day.

Safety First: A Message from Corporal Anthony DeBella
- Adults driving through the school zone and parking lot while using their phones. This is very dangerous to ALL of us as the driver can easily be distracted. We do not want anything to happen to a child, a staff member, or any of you. It is also against the law to use a phone while driving in any school zone, so PLEASE put your phones down while driving through the lot!!
- Adults driving with students standing in the car, sitting in the front seat of the vehicle, or not buckled in a car seat. I know he has spoken to some of you, but asked me to let you know that it is unlawful to have unsecured children in a moving vehicle. Children under the age of 13 should not be seated in the front seat.
- Adults rushing to leave the parking lot while parents and children are walking to their cars. Children are very unpredictable and can dart away from an adult. Please be more patient and leave the lot in an orderly way. (I must say that on most days, things are moving very smoothly from the back parking lot where I supervise each day. I really appreciate all of the cooperation and courtesy that I see with most drivers!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!)
- When entering the parking lot for drop off, we realize that the lines of cars can be quite long from both directions. Please be courteous and take turns entering into the lot to avoid any risk of accidents.
I will keep you posted of any other items that Corporal DeBella points out as unsafe or unlawful. Thank you for your cooperation!
