Final Manic Monday
You did it! It's the final Monday before finals and finally it's here!
As you end your classes and take stock of all you've learned (hopefully a ton!), do me a solid and if you've had any great profs or classes this semester, or someone at the university has helped you out, let them know. It's a tiny little thing, but can make a big difference.
And from all of us to all of you: GOOD LUCK. Remember, it may seem that all is lost, but it never is. We are here for you. Please let us know if we can help. We know you'll do great, if you just let yourselves.
You're so close, you can taste it. Does it taste like pizza? Tacos? Braised short ribs? Gettin' hungry over here.

A missive from alumna Alex Ennes who took advantage of one of these programs letting us know that the National Park Service is spooling up again.
Take a look at these really cool, unique opportunities!
Grit & Beauty Contest
Each year, adventurous students go out into Philadelphia and explore the grit and beauty that makes our city unique.
Students are invited to submit a work they have created that captures the combination of the grit and beauty of Philadelphia (emphasis on the combination of grit and beauty). Only one submission per student is permitted. Submissions consist of one work, and types of work that are acceptable include but are not limited to photographs, videos, images, gifs, pieces of writing and audio files. To submit an entry, https://gened.temple.edu/gritandbeauty/ or click here.
The 2019-2020 deadline is Friday, January 31st.
We will award one grand prize of $500 and five runner-up prizes of $100. Prize winners and honorable mentions may be selected for a spring exhibit of student work in Charles Library.

Present your work!!!!
Eligibility to present at the Symposium is open to any undergraduate student who completed a research/creative project that is academic in nature and was supervised by a Temple faculty member. The project need not have been completed in a credit-bearing course (e.g., CARAS, Diamond Scholars, Merit Stipend, and URP projects are all eligible). The Symposium is not appropriate for the presentation of works-in-progress, and December 2019 graduates normally do not participate. If a student completed the work with a faculty member from a different school/college than that of the student, the student should apply for consideration to the college of the supporting faculty member. The deadline for submissions is February 3. The event is Thursday, April 2, from 9am to 5pm in the Howard Gittis Student Center.
