Highlights of the Week
We continue our Journey into the world of 'Amazing Animals'. The two books 'Dear Greenpeace' and 'Everybody Poops' have been the inspiration for our writing in class this week.
The wonderful creativity shown by Prep 1 when writing their letters to Greenpeace will certainly keep their staff 'very busy'. They have been asked for their help to look for an Elephant with a broken trunk in Africa and search for the lions that have escaped from the zoo! We have also been learning about the structure of letters and looking at how they start and finish.
There was much enjoyment and lots of giggles as we ventured into the world of learning about living things and read the story 'Everybody Poops' by the Japanese Author, Taro Gomo . We have also used this story and linked it to looking at the different animal habitats and what animals eat in the environment where they live.
The creation of our class i books on the children 'research animals' are nearly complete. You can look forward to enjoying these at the end of our unit of work.
