Senior Newsletter - February 2022
Can you believe it? Semester 2 is here already, your senior year is flying by!
Semester 2 can sometimes feel like the finish line, and it can be easy for you to fall into bad academic habits and slack off. Remember your senior grades affect your GPA and permanent transcript which is requested by college admissions and by future employers many times throughout your working career. It's important not to let procrastination get the better of you in these final months...
Am I on track to graduate?
Review your first semester grades in skyward and schedule an appointment to see your counselor if you are concerned.
Graduation status letters will be mailed out if you are in jeopardy of not graduating by June.

Please return this form to Mrs. Murphy in the Guidance Office by Monday, February 28th.
It's important you return this form whether you plan to attend Graduation at the Tacoma Dome or not.

Xello High School & Beyond Plan
Due By FEBRUARY 4th
Complete your High School & Beyond Plan
The High School & Beyond Plan is a state graduation requirement and must also be completed in order to participate in the graduation commencement ceremony in June.
Complete the 12th grade and any unfinished lessons from previous grade levels. Xello is a great way to figure out what your next steps should be, based on your goals and career pathway after high school. How well do you know yourself? Should you go to college, get a job, join the military or join an apprenticeship program?
Mandatory sessions will begin on Wednesday mornings and Fridays after school for those who do not have this completed by the February 4th deadline.
Questions or need help? Contact your Counselor or Mrs. Nass.
Pay Outstanding Fines & Fees
If you haven't already done so, now is the time to check your student account and be sure to pay any outstanding fines or fees. Remember you may have additional class fees from your final semester classes. Make arrangements for a payment plan or see whether you qualify for InvestEd funds to help pay off your balance if needed.
Outstanding payments hold up the release of official transcripts and receipt of your final diploma. Fines and fees also exclude students from collecting Graduation tickets for the commencement ceremony at the Tacoma Dome or from buying Prom tickets.
The ASB office is open Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We accept cash, checks (made payable to: "SKHS") and credit cards.
The cardholder MUST BE PRESENT and show photo ID at the time of transaction.
If you have any questions or concerns about your student account, please contact the ASB office at 360-874-5610
