Meet your Media Director
Hi Everyone,
I am Andrew Liu, media director for Fulton Meadows Community League. As a resident in Tamarack since 2010, I am glad to see our community growing and flourishing. By leveraging our diverse backgrounds, experiences and cultures, we can work together to build a stronger, a more vibrant and inclusive community. I have volunteered in media and programs director roles in the past four years, and have organized various initiatives such as food bank drives, chess program for kids, Christmas and Easter contests, online talent show, and summer fun day, etc.
My likes: Foods (Vietnamese, Chinese, and BBQ), photography, astronomy, jogging, wallyball, chess, biking, and tennis
My dislikes: Ironing cloths and spring cleaning
This year I continue to support our community league, and work to better communicate with our residents and members. Stay tuned for many more exciting events and programs, which we will announce through our social media, website, newsletter, and league sign.
If you need anything, please feel free to email me at info@fultonmeadows.org

Local Business Feature | Almost Famous Designs
I was born and raised in Vancouver BC, moved to Edmonton in 2013 with my family where we've resided on the south side. I love how many young families are in Edmonton and how many outdoor activities there are to do. We love going for walks, checking out local shops and farmers markets. We spend a lot of time at the various dog parks with our two blue heelers.
A: My friend had a silhouette and mentioned orange shirt day is a week or so away so she asked if I wanted to help design a shirt and we could sell a couple at the outgrown it sale she was setting up at, we had no takers. So to get rid of them I posted on Facebook marketplace and we end up getting completely bombarded with messages asking for shirts. We scrambled to get orange shirts and to make designs. We end up selling close to 200 shirts just on a whim.
Q: What’s your most recent new item that you have created?
A: My eldest child is very creative and artistic so I tend to lean on them for original designs. Most recently they drew a minimalistic/line drawing of Jay and Silent Bob and their quote "a woman's body is her own bleeping business" from the movie Mall Rats. It turned out fantastic I hope people like it.
Q: Are you able to customize almost anything?
A: We can customize any quote/saying on most fabrics. As for images I'm limited to cut images but were looking into expanding into either embroidery or silkscreen.
Q: What's your favourite item to sell? Why?
A: I like to make pop culture references or use foliage in my designs. 90's themes and plants are kind of where my heart lays. haha
Q: How long have you been creating?
A: This t-shirt business started in 2019. Up until that point I didn't really flex my creative muscles in any way. I struggled to find my medium but I think it's safe to say I found it.
Q: Do you have any upcoming sales or promotions?
A: Not a sale or promotion per se, but we're going to be price adjusting awareness day items to reflect donations to their respective organizations ie MMIW2S. Orange shirt day and pink shirt day. We want to start giving back now that our business is picking up steam.
Q: Is there a significance behind your creations?
A: I just want to make people laugh with my designs, make them think. Spread body positivity and joy.
Q: When did you know you wanted to create custom pieces?
A: In the beginning the custom design aspect wasn't prolific as there was already so many small/local business offering these services. So that's kind of how I started just doing my own thing; and people seem to enjoy the designs I create.
Q: Any tips for someone just starting out?
A: Know your worth. Don't let anyone tell you how to price your items. It takes a lot of time and materials to create something out of nothing and if it was as "easy and cheap" as buyers say it is then everyone would be doing it. But they don't! Lol
