Hello YCIS Families--

Happy New Year! Welcome back, it is great to have renewed energy and optimism as we begin 2021 and acclimate ourselves back into our CDL.

As our superintendent shared earlier, the YCSD will be consulting with Yamhill County Health and the soon to be released guidance from the ODE to safely get our students and staff into Hybrid Learning. This is an ongoing process that will continually be updated as we receive more information. Please click on the link to view the superintendent's message.

An additional survey will be sent out so that parents may indicate their intentions for staying in CDL or starting Hybrid learning when we are cleared to do so. This is a follow up survey from the previous one that was sent out in November. We have had some families change their intentions and this will help with our planning and cohorts.

Our next school resource pick up day will be on Thursday January 21st. Teachers will communicate what, if any, resources will be available to be picked up.

We are down to just two weeks left in this semester. These next two weeks are going to be crucial for students to get caught up and turn in any missing assignments. Students and parents can access grades by logging onto StudenVue and/or ParentVue or by contacting your student's teachers directly for the latest updates.

The virtual STEM Fair will be taking place on February 11th (see flyer below). This is an annual event that is open to all YCSD students. It will be done virtually this year so start thinking about those experiments and problems to be solved.

Planning Ahead

January 18th Martin Luther King Jr. Day--No School

January 21st School Resource Pick Up

January 28th Last day of semester

January 29th Teacher Work Day--No School

February 1st First day of new semester

February 9th Science Fair registration due

February 11th Virtual Science Fair

February 15 Presidents Day-No School

Your support and efforts in reminding your students to log in to all of their classes everyday is appreciated. Let's finish this semester STRONG!
