LHS TIGER TALK
September 3, 2021
Important Information about Attendance
If your child will not be at school or will be late, please call the attendance line at (513) 697-3715 by 10am each day that the child will be absent. Please leave the student's name, the name of the person calling in, and the reason for the absence. The attendance line can be found under the contact information on the LHS homepage or by clicking on the phone icon.
If your child needs to leave early, please send in a note with your child or email our receptionist, Jill McCarthy, at mccartji@lovelandschools.org on the day they will be leaving. Notes should be given to the attendance office when the student arrives so that a pass can be given that allows them to leave class early. Students are required to sign out at attendance office at the time of dismissal. Sending in a note or email ahead of time ensures the student is ready to leave at the time and allows for the least amount of class disruption.
Doctor's notes can be sent in with the student, emailed to our Attendance Secretary, Tina Warden at wardenti@lovelandschools.org or faxed directly to the Attendance Office at (513) 697-3879. We also ask that if your child is experiencing symptoms and your doctor's office has issued a test in order to be released to return to school, please communicate with our school nurse, Katie Sutton at suttonka@lovelandschools.org or call her directly at (513) 697-3708.
LCSD Partnering with Children's Home
Loveland City Schools is again pleased to continue a partnership with Best Point Behavioral Health by the Children’s Home. This partnership provides Loveland students with high-quality mental health services at school to help ensure academic success. Best Point Behavioral Health by the Children’s Home provides independently licensed therapists at all of the Loveland school buildings to serve students with significant mental health challenges. Concerns addressed include, but are not limited to, stress/trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression/mood disorders, and Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) treatment.
These optional services are available to all high school students and allow families the choice of accessing a private therapist on-site at Loveland High School. This also reduces the time students miss from class and eliminates the need for parents and students to travel to these appointments. Telehealth options are also available due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Families can cover the cost of these optional services through insurance, Medicaid, or private pay options.
Please complete this form if you would like The Children’s Home therapist to contact you to learn more about the services provided or to make an appointment for your child. If you prefer to refer your student directly, please go to The Children’s Home website and click on Refer Your Child at the top of the page or you may contact the LHS therapist, Katie Lee, directly at Klee@bestpoint.org or (513) 697-3024, x3875.

Ready to Save the Day for Loveland High School? Loveland City Schools is currently hiring substitute teachers and educational aides through our partnership with Sub Solutions. Our school needs community members to help when a staff member is absent. Teacher substitutes need a Bachelor’s degree in any field, educational aide substitutes do not.
