We Believe
Our vision is to prepare students to be self-directed learners who are literate, creative, curious, civic-minded citizens who demonstrate civility, order, respect and excellence in school and in life.
Our mission is to ensure the intellectual and emotional growth of every student while promoting civility, order, respect and excellence. We recognize that each student can and must succeed in an environment enriched with support, encouragement and accountability.
Puma Community,
Thank you for your continued support and involvement at Raymond Park Intermediate Academy! We had outstanding attendance this week during ISTEP Testing, with an average of 96.8%! I appreciate you and your students demonstrating Attendance CORE - Coming On time Ready Everyday!
The majority of students finished ISTEP+ Part I testing on Thursday, with a few students who are in the process of completing their make-up tests. Our kids have worked really hard again this year, and we are very encouraged by their excitement and positive frames of mind going into these state assessments. Thank you again for encouraging your child to relax, and do their best. Your collaborative efforts are much appreciated.
Our staff sincerely appreciates your continued patience and understanding in regards to our safety procedures here at Raymond Park. Many of you continue to express gratitude for the time and effort we put into making our campus safe for everyone and we are thankful for your support and encouragement in this matter. With everything going on in our country in regards to school safety, I found this article from the NAESP (National Association of Elementary School Principals) which includes information on helping children cope with a tragedy. I recommend this report to all parents and guardians whether your child has been a victim of a tragedy or not, and hope you will find time to read it.
This coming Wednesday, March 7, 2018, will be a late start for all Warren Township Schools. Students will arrive approximately 1 hour later than their normal start time. All buses will run 1 hour later than normal in the morning. This does not impact dismissal. We will see all students at 8:20am.
Beginning on March 8 and running through March 15, we will host our Scholastic Book Fair. It will be held in the LGI Room from 10:00AM - 1:45PM daily. We appreciate your support in allowing your child to access many types of reading books and at the same time supporting the RP Mediaplex. If you have any questions regarding the book fair, please contact Linda Meid at (317) 532-8900 ext. 8903.
The March school movie and date have been set. The PTSA will be sponsoring "A Wrinkle In Time" on Saturday, March 17 at 2:30pm. The movie will be shown at the AMC Showplace Washington Square 12 and tickets are $7.00. The flyer with further information is attached below.
For future planning purposes, the school board approved the 2018-2019 school year calendar on February 21, 2018. You can access that new calendar here.
Thanks again for your continued support as we work together to provide an Exceptional Educational Experience for All.
