March 2015 Newsletter
University of Kentucky - Resident Student Association
Looking Back:
Over the past month, the UK RSA has been very busy and have been working diligently to plan and put on events. After the completion of KARH in February, we set our eyes on Pot Party, which has been rescheduled due to conflicts with the weather.
Health in the Halls Week which took place this last week March 23rd - 26th, was extremely successful as we informed residents about ways to improve knowledge of Sexual, Mental, Physical wellness as well as proper alcohol safety.
The Sex in the Dark program took place on March 26th, in the Woodland Glen 2 basement Classrooms. The UK Sexperts were there to share their knowledge of safe sex practices and residents had the opportunity to earn HOTY Points.
The NCC and NCCIT attended a conference called NO FRILLS, which took place over spring break. Look out for more information regarding this in the April Newsletter.
We hope everyone had a fantastic Spring Break and is ready to get down to business in these final weeks of school before finals!

Kentucky State Board now Bleeds BLUE!
Tristan Koerner is the newly appointed Director of the KARH State Board
We are incredibly proud of him and extremely happy to have such an impressive student representing UK at the state level. This is what he had to say regarding his new position:
"Hey UK! My name is Tristan Koerner. As some of you may know I am the current President of Champions Court 1, but today I am not going to talk about Hall Government, but about KARH. KARH stands for the Kentucky Association of Residence Halls. I am the incoming Director of KARH and some of you are probably wondering what in the world I do as Director. Well, here’s the short version! Represent KARH’s interests to all other corporations, organizations, and outside agencies, both connected and unassociated with residence hall life. I am the “State Rep.” when it comes to a national level. My plans and ambitions for KARH is to bring any input from our current affiliations (schools that participate in Conferences, such as the KARH Conference that happens every year), but to also bring in schools who aren’t as active in the ResLife Dept. I and the other State Board Members are here to help in any way possible!!! If you would like to contact me my email is tristan.koerner@uky.edu. Our website is karh-ky.org if you would like to get more information on me or the other State Board Members. Thanks for everything you all do to make UK one of the best places to live!"
