Family Focus
This year we are taking more of a family focused approach to homework. We believe that spending quality family time is vital in the success of your student. We will provide family friendly, engaging homework activities and assignments. We would love if you would send us pictures of these activities and share them with us.
This weeks Family focus: We have been focusing on measuring, this week students raced toy cars and then measured to see which car went the farthest. Find different ways to make measurement fun at home using inches, yards, centimeters and meters. If you have a fun project or maybe you go outside and measure who can jump or throw the farthest.
Academics
Reading:We will be discussing authors purpose, locating facts in the story and using context clues to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words.
ELA: Students will be reviewing guide words, making revisions, and writing a persuasive letter.
Math: Students will determine and measure objects using inches, yards, centimeters and meters.
Science: Students will discuss the basic needs of plants and animals
Social Studies: This week students will describe how science and technology help people produce and consume
