We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Washington Dulles Airport hotel. All summit sessions will take place at this location.

Booking Travel & Accommodations
As you book travel for this event, please note that the Academic Leader Summit will officially kick off on Wednesday, June 8th with an opening presentation by Allison Cleveland. Please plan on arriving Tuesday evening, June 7th for a social prior to the summit kickoff. The Summit will conclude at 4pm on Thursday, June 9th. Feel free to schedule return flights on Thursday, June 9th after 6:30 PM EST. We will arrange for transportation to the airport as soon as we dismiss.
Airport
It is recommended that you fly into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) which is only a few miles from the Hilton Washington Dulles Airport Hotel. You can call the hotel for a shuttle when you arrive. Their phone number is 703-478-2900.
Food
- Breakfast and lunch will be provided by the hotel both days. Breakfast will be served from 7am-8:30am in the Belmont IV room.
- Please plan to attend a fun night out for dinner on Wednesday, June 8th.
Summit Attire - Attire is business casual.
Pre-work for Academic Leaders Summit- In early May, summit participants will receive, 1. A case study data about a fictitious school, and 2. Three (3) leadership challenges you will solve in a small group while at the summit.
Living the Leadership Simulation - Through a “Living the Leadership” simulation, summit participants will practice essential functions of instructional leadership by solving real life challenges alongside your peers for greater strategic thinking and decision-making practice. You will also receive feedback from your regional leadership teams as you work through the scenarios. Click this link to see a great Infographic that illustrates how the simulations will work!
