Read Across America Day and Book Character Dress Up

NEA’s Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2—Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books.

Next Wednesday, March 2nd, all Claxton students are invited to dress up as their favorite storybook character. Students will have an opportunity to share their book with the class. Please let me know if you have any questions. Dressing up is not a requirement. I look forward to celebrating our love of reading next week!
