The CDLC Mission Statement

We partner with members to strengthen library service through education, shared collections, and local connections.

A note from Meghan Wakeman, Resource Sharing Librarian at CDLC

Welcome Member Librarians!

I am so pleased to see that you are learning more about what the CDLC has to offer. Although we have excellent resources and information on our LibGuide, please know that our support does not end there. I would be happy to visit your schools and districts to give tutorials on Interlibrary Loan and the eForm (how to request resources). I am looking forward to meeting you.

Continuing Education through the CDLC

Explore the valuable continuing education opportunities, live and virtual, available to you through the CDLC. Check the calendar of events for full details.

Borrowing & Lending Resources Outside of the Questar III School Library System

You can borrow & lend library resources from beyond our region by searching the CDLC's Union Catalog, CaDiLaC.

The long arm of the CDLC can help you find the resources you need, even if they are not close by or if they are from a different type of library, including public, academic, hospital, and special libraries. Of course, resources from school libraries are available to you as well.

The CDLC has a tremendous spirit of sharing and reciprocity. Do not hestitate to reach out.

The CDLC instructions on how to make a request are found here, as well as on the SLS LibGuide.

Direct Access Program (DAP)

A direct borrowing program in which CDLC member libraries voluntarily participate to help library users get the information resources they need.

Available to current faculty, staff, and students at academic colleges and universities, serious researchers through their public library, as well as select high school students.

DAP Cards can be issued by the SLS and may be used at a variety of participating libraries. School libraries are not lending libraries through DAP. View the directory of participating member libraries here.

If you are interested in learning more about DAP or if you would like to have specific students vetted for the program, please contact Amanda Karian for details.
