Parent Volunteers Needed- Library!

The BMS primary library is a wonderful, busy place used by our whole school community. We are looking for parent volunteers to help us keep up with our many readers. This may include routine library and office tasks, such as book processing, re-shelving, checking resources in and out, light cleaning, laminating, copying, helping prepare for events. If you can commit to a minimum of one hour a week anytime between 8:30 and 5:30 please contact

Mother Tongue Language Program

As our international community continues to grow and develop we are eager to foster and support the many mother tongue languages we now have within our community. As a new initiative in the Primary School this year we are introducing some Mother tongue language sessions for our students. In order to implement this program, we are looking for some parent volunteers who might be willing and interested to come and facilitate a 30 minute mother tongue language group in their own language. If you would be interested to participate in this, and would like to learn more, please contact either Julietta Cavalli our EAL Coordinator,, or Annika Lenz our GAL Coordinator, Further communication about the plans for this program will be communicated to our school community in the coming months, We are very excited and enthusiastic to be developing this language program to support the many diverse languages and cultures in BMS!

Class Representatives Needed 2015-16 School Year

Class Parent Representatives

At our back to school parent evenings next week there will be an opportunity for each class to nominate two parents who will act as class parent representatives for the upcoming school year. One of the parent representatives will act as the treasurer for the ´Klassenkasse´a class fund which will support field trips and class events. Our class parent representatives meet at whole class parent meetings with the Primary leadership during the year as well as in a smaller grade level forum. We very much appreciate the time dedicated towards this important role in our school community and look forward to working with our new team of class parent representatives!

ToonSpaghetti App Update by Ms. Hinton

Hi BMS team,

Last year grade 3 and 4 students helped me develop a movie maker app for kids. They tested the prototype and told me what they liked, what they didn’t like, and what improvements I should make. Thanks to their feedback it looks awesome! You can get it free on the App Store here or by searching for ToonSpaghetti Movie Maker For Kids: Music Play

I am hugely appreciative of the support from BMS, and am really grateful to all of the kids for their enthusiasm! An extra special thanks to the Board of Advisors who helped with final testing and photos in June, you all look fabulous and can check out your amazing selves in the TEAM section here:

Thanks everyone, hope you enjoy the app :)
