What's New This Week?
Our main story selection this week is titled, Mr. Tanen's Tie Trouble a fictional text. In Lesson 16 our Essential Question is “When might a character need help solving a problem? ” Target skills are base words and the -ed and -ing endings, pronouns, and homographs. In writing we will learn about fictional narrative paragraphs.

We will continue Topic 9, subtracting two digit numbers. Tricky, tricky as we subtract numbers with regrouping. Ask your child to chat the poem. Everyone has a copy in their RHE folder to help at home!
Tickets are now available for the Father Daughter Dance and can be purchased on the HSA website (school store section, click here.) Also carnation wristlets will be available (three mini white carnations, baby’s breath and gold ribbon will be sold at the RHHSA school store as well, for 10 dollars each. So don’t forget to order one when purchasing tickets.) The Deadline for all sales is January 18th.
